10 Things You Don’t Know About Me

One (1), Idiosyncratic.

My name is Joyner D. Agida, (most people call me JO.)

Joyner is a unisex name mostly borne as surname/lastname… I was named after the US athlete, Jackie Joyner Kersee in the year she won 3 gold medals in the Olympics; alongside her namesake Florence Joyner, popularly known as Flo Jo. who also made an indelible history on black women in sports with the glitz & glam that accompanies the lifestyle.

Two (2), A Legacy.

I am the first child, first grandchild on my mom’s side.

Three (3), Stalwart.

A graduate of Animal Breeding And Physiology from Federal University Of Agriculture, Makurdi in Benue State, Nigeria… Also a professional commis chef on the verge of receiving her Culinary Arts diploma certificate from Red Dish Chronicles, Abuja.

Quickie; Red Dish Chronicles is one of the best culinary arts schools in Nigeria, for more information on how to enrol, you can find it here.

Four (4), Connoisseur.

An old soul, with an avid pleasure for classical music, films and opera, you could say I like to delve into the finer things of life. I am one out of the four types of wine drinkers known as the hypersensitive vinotype gradually making her way to the Tolerant category, or perhaps not, maybe it’s just the euphoric memories of sharing full bodied red wine with my mom (she’s a tolerant vinotype) that has me thinking otherwise…

Five (5), An Extroverted Introvert.

I make a great host when I need to be but I enjoy my own company and that of my furry companion Apollo quite alot, hence why I keep to myself more except when in the midst of family and/or extremely close loved ones. if you’d like to know more about who an Extroverted Introvert is, you can find such information here.

Six (6), Ingenious.

My mind is wired in a way I find fascinating sometimes and other times, insane. The ways I’d approach a problem or deal with an issue instinctIvely often feels like I have had that experience before, which in reality it’s usually my first. I am a huge fan of Greek mythology, perhaps this explains my love for literature, epic movies and fictional characters/adventures, which further deepens my curiosity in zodiac signs and inspire alot of proffered solutions to general problems often related to some degree with the characters I draw inspiration from… what can I say, a girl has to live in an alternate reality sometimes to be able to thrive in the current.

Seven (7), A Gogetter.

I am such a fervent person yet apathetic to competition, lols before you roll your eyes at me and wonder what I mean, let me explain…; you see, I do not like competition and the pressure it brings, so I always like to set my own standards and create my own thing where I get to control my pace with the sole purpose of “self preservation” rather than merely for the goal of “winning a race”. I’d like to think I am a maverick like that.

Quickie; I asked a friend once what LOLs meant because he liked to use it alot and he said it means “laughing out loud… softly” the “s” made me laugh so much.

Eight (8), Ebullient.

I am very loyal, independent, modest yet an incredibly positive being and in some cases, it can be perceived as pride and arrogance especially by people my confidence must have one or another poked their insecurities or rubbed off the wrong way. We are all insecure about something, Some of us just choose to focus more on what we can change and less on what we cannot. Bearing in mind to look out for the good in a person first than otherwise.

Nine (9), Maverick.

I am a free spirited being with a zealouslessness for spirituality, an overly enthusiastic mind with high moral values who doesn’t fit into any “box” precisely. This some would say, makes me a complex personality but I believe myself to be “yet so simple”

Ten (10), JW.Org.

I am a baptised Jehovah’s Witness, although; as an imperfect human, I fell short of upholding my promises to Jehovah God for some years in my life in the past, but now I am working very hard day in and day out actively and zealously trying to fulfil my role in the fine works of the Good Lord.
