THE AFRICAN MOVIE ACADEMY AWARDS – THE 17TH EDITION

The 18th edition of the AMAA Awards began on the 26th of October and ended with the gala on Sunday, 30th of October, 2022.

Every celebrity and movie star across Africa usually look up to attending, each year.

ABOUT AMAA

According to Wiki; The Africa Movie Academy Awards, popularly known as AMAA and The AMA Awards, is presented annually to recognize excellence among professionals working in, or non-African professionals who have contributed to, the African film industry.

It was founded by Peace Anyiam-Osigwe and is run through the Africa Film Academy.

Last year I was opportune to attend and cover the 17TH edition officially as a media detail with @Teocrisphotography,

and it was basically one of the highlights of my 2021.

It was my first time attending a gala of such caliber,

and frankly I’d anticipated it to be more curated and coordinated than I had experienced.

In attendance were various media outlets.
